About Me
I found office-based work in London in my 20s stressful so I trained as a yoga teacher, moved to Bristol and taught yoga with an emphasis on relaxation.
But in 2012 I developed some unexplained back problems. After reading about how our emotional issues can manifest in our bodies, I decided to train as a counsellor. This taught me a lot about myself. I continue to have psychotherapy, which helps me to empathise with the journey that you will go on with me.
I am deeply curious about people generally, so I love this work which allows me to find out about people. I feel like a detective, looking for clues as to what might help. It feels an honour to be trusted with my clients’ deepest thoughts. I am calm and empathic and hope to create a safe, warm environment for us to work together. The relationship that I have with you mirrors your relationships in the outside world, so whatever we work on together in the therapy room will impact on your life elsewhere.
